So ends a stressful week at work. I have to admit, I’ve been spoiled so far. I really haven’t had to work many late hours since I began working at Wells Fargo. This week was pretty painful, though. I fell vicitim to one of the classic blunders, the most famous of which is “Never get involved in a land war in Asia”, but only slightly less famous is this: “Never go in debugging and tracking memory leaks though multi-threaded code that you didn’t write, when it’s for a project that is going into production in a matter of days”. Or something like that…Ah, but I’ll get by with a little help from my friends. Tomorrow night: Quake death match. Mmmm… frag therapy.A big shout out to Jennifer Richards, who’s birthday is tomorrow. Happy Birthday, Jennifer!

Just Can’t Stop
Must. Post. All. Photos.I plowed my way through the the Europe trip photos this evening. It took me longer than expected because iPhoto is acting rather unstable. It’s forgetting the comments associated with some of the photos as well as completely forgetting what photos are in some of the albums between application launches. I’m going to have to be more careful in the future and submit a bug report to Apple in meantime. Well, maybe in the morning.Regardless, the photographs from the English countryside, Poland, Germany, and London are now up.
On A Roll
Or chip, digitally speaking. I decided to work on a few more albums after writing that last post. I have added the photos from the Woodward Dream Cruise and Aaron & Alicia’s wedding to the gallery. I also found some photos I took a little over a year ago at the Botanical Gardens in Chicago and on my commute in San Francisco on one of my last days at Xetex. Enjoy!Okay. Time for bed.
More Photos Added
I’ve added a few more photo albums to the site: Climbing at Mt. Tam (both color and black & white), Bass Lake and Yosemite, and Hiking in Yosemite. Still to do: Europe (lots of photos) and Aaron & Alicia’s wedding/Dream Cruise. Hopefully I’ll get to them this week sometime. I’m trying out a new photo gallery web page creator. Let me know what you think. Continue reading
Updates
Two months later, I’ve finally gotten around to posting the photos from Claire and TJ’s wedding down in Fresno. Up next: Europe, Aaron & Alicia’s wedding, Bass Lake/Yosemite, and maybe a few rock climbing photos.I’ve also updated the Reading and Music Acquisition lists.Amon Tobin is coming in concert to San Francisco on October 28 and 29. Anyone interested in going? Also, Kid Koala will be in San Jose on November 16.
Innocence or Ignorance
I came across an excellent editorial in the San Jose Mercury today regarding the knee-jerk reaction I feel our country continues to take in response to 9-11 last year (yes, this is a 9-11 post). I was going to do a write-up about it, but feel the journalist has done an excellent job of presenting my view point. I have included the editorial below for archival purposes and added emphasis to some of the points I feel are important. Continue reading
BSE Anyone?
Okay. Totally bizarre. Jennifer and I received a voice mail around lunch time today from some guy. The message was “The cow goes MOOOOOOO!”. That’s it. No idea who it was. Am I missing something here? It was a little early in the day to be hittin’ the bottle. Whoever you are, as Marcy from Peanuts would say “You’re weird, sir.”
