Electric Desktop

I’ve found a number of web sites over the past few years that have excellent pictures suitable for computer desktops (well, I like them). Here are some of my favorites so far:End EffectMandoluxTazl DesktopsThe desktop images at the following web sites can be hit or miss, but I’ve found a few good ones among the cruft:MacDesktopsMacMonkiesAnd this site has a number of desktops plus links to many other desktop sites:Rampant Mac

  1. Dave,Thanks for the correction. I’ll correct it in the original post. I must have a mild case of dyslexia. ;P It’s funny. Whenever I’m at the Unix command line I end up typing "cd /top" rather than "cd /opt". In the post, I originally typed "deskopts" when it should have been "desktops". *sigh* I’ll never get it right. As far as the <div> tags go, I’m assuming you mean the white text on black background? That was intentional.-brahm

  2. Brahm,Now that there’s a few comments, it looks ok. The first comment gets lost in your banner in both Mozilla and IE6 (both on PC under Win2k). Lemme check the linux box… Yep, same under Linux. I haven’t got a Mac system to check it on, unfortunately. The "brahm’s bones" bit doesn’t coincide with the white space on the banner in the comment window, but is above it. Maybe a bug in the CSS?See <a href="http://www.diaspoir.net/images/windeler.jpg&quot; rel="nofollow">http://www.diaspoir.net/images/windeler.jpg</a&gt; for how I see it.dave

  3. Okay, I see what the problem is. I had updated the template for the page when clicking on the post time stamp but not the template for the page when clicking on the number of comments posted. I’ve updated the template and made a few changes to the CSS (added separators between comments). I hope you don’t mind, but I also removed the CSS tags from your second comment posting so that it appears like the rest of the comments. Thanks for your help in pointing out this problem, Dave!-brahm
